It's required that all dogs be vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper (usually a 5-in-1 on your paper work, DHLPP), Bordetella (canine cough) and the K9 influenza shot (normally not given during a routine examination). K9 Influenza is a new vaccine but it's vital to your dog's health if they play with other dogs.
No facility is immune to coughs and colds. Bordetella & K9 flu shots are effective but your dog could still get sick while in a communal environment. It is rare but speak to your vet if you have concerns about any vaccinations. Also all dogs must be spayed or neutered after 6 months of age. Puppies can start staying and playing with us after their second round of puppy shots has been completed.
For first-timers, we require a day of socialization. This allows us to slowly introduce your dog to our caregivers and to the other dogs attending daycare. Speak to a pack leader for more information if you are unsure of your dog's temperament type.
*This first day of socialization will be charged at the same rate as a regular day of daycare. It is $8 per hour, or $25 for 4 or more hours.
